Proton-Electrotex has successfully passed the certification
Proton‑Electrotex JSC has successfully completed a certification system audit for compliance with the requirements of the industry standard ISO 22163:2023.
The auditors particularly noted the strengths of Proton‑Electrotex JSC, including its high production culture, achievements in regional and national product competitions, and the continuous development and modernisation of production and management processes. They also highlighted the high level of professional knowledge and the strong qualifications of the company’s management team.
The international industry standard ISO 22163 has been supplemented with specific requirements for rolling stock manufacturers. This standard aims to help define, monitor, and ensure compliance with safety and quality requirements for railway products throughout the entire supply chain.
The audit was conducted by an auditor from IRI KONS, a certification body accredited by the certification system of the Association of Railway Equipment Manufacturers .
During the audit, the company presented its performance results. Department heads delivered reports on the achieved collective performance levels, the organisation’s production methods, and the company’s future development goals.
Particular attention was paid to issues of technological dependence on foreign materials and equipment. Based on a comparative analysis, the most promising areas for developing domestic equivalents were identified, along with methods for ensuring the required reliability and the use of semiconductor devices.
An action plan to improve product quality was developed. The certification audit body, IRI KONS, provided recommendations for continuous process quality assurance and for improving the maturity level of the SMB ahead of the 2027 recertification audit.
The audit result was positive, with no non‑conformities identified. The successful completion of the audit demonstrates the company’s robust management system and the high quality of its power semiconductor device replacements.
