IGBT modules of the MID2 series have been confirmed as manufactured in the Russian Federation
JSC "Proton-Electrotex" announces that it has received confirmation of the production of IGBT modules of the MID2 series in the Russian Federation under Government Decree of the Russian Federation No. 719. This is a significant milestone in the development of the company's product line and an important step towards strengthening its position in both domestic and international markets.
Obtaining the status of domestically produced goods opens up additional opportunities for the company to participate in major industrial projects that contribute to the technological sovereignty of the Russian Federation.
The MID2 series of low-inductance IGBT modules is designed for compact systems where high efficiency and reliability are critical. Confirmation of production under Government Decree No. 719 demonstrates compliance with localization requirements and confirms that the devices in this series have the maximum achievable level of localization of materials and components.
MID2 modules are available in versions rated for 1200 V and 1700 V, with rated current ranging from 300 A to 750 A. The standardized package and soldered construction ensure ease and speed of assembly, enabling the creation of high-efficiency and compact inverter systems.
During the development of the MID2 series, a number of design improvements were implemented to enhance reliability and operational performance:
• the cross-section of power busbars has been increased to support high-current devices;
• the PCB topology under the thermistor has been optimized;
• mounting components have been reinforced and redesigned;
• the housing has been upgraded to facilitate busbar connection to the module.
High thermal cycling performance and mechanical strength ensure a long service life of the modules under demanding operating conditions. Dual-channel driver boards DI215-17-E-1 of proprietary design are optionally available for the modules — they can be mounted directly on the module or connected via a wired connection.
Thanks to the combination of a low-inductance package and optimized thermal resistance, MID2 modules are ideally suited for inverter applications. Key application areas for the products include:
• industrial drives;
• electric transport;
• renewable energy systems;
• uninterruptible power supplies (UPS);
• railway transport.
